The Somerville House Chess Team has once again proven their prowess by becoming Australian Champions for the second consecutive year.
Our top four players triumphed in the Primary Girls Division of the Australian School Teams Chess Championships held in Perth. In a historic first, Queensland achieved a clean sweep, winning all four divisions.
Remarkably, Somerville House was the only team to remain undefeated throughout the weekend, finishing with an impressive score of 19.5 out of 20.
